Team Building
Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility are the cornerstones of the YMCA Camp Wapsie experience. Build success from within through a variety of problem-solving activities and strengthen communication, confidence, trust, and leadership.

YMCA Camp Wapsie uses indoor and outdoor initiative activities, including the climbing tower and our initiatives course. Initiative activities range from ground level up to 10 feet in the air. High elements are based up to 30 feet off the ground (climbing/rappelling tower, zip line). Participants work in groups of 10-12 for activities. This has become a popular part of many high school and college retreats!

Outdoor Environmental Education
There is no place better to learn about the environment than in the out-of-doors. After all, it is truly the first classroom. Camp Wapsie's Outdoor Environmental Education Program combines academics with practical "hands-on" experiences, which are designed to reinforce and supplement classroom learning. Bring your own activities or choose from some of the many camp has available. We are happy to assist in planning your school visit.

Church Retreats
Come enjoy the natural beauty that encompasses camp. 172 acres of lowland forest and wetlands provides a home for many different varieties of wildlife from songbirds to wading birds and waterfowl. Find a quiet place to reflect on life's blessings or take a walk and see how many trees you can identify. Take a canoe ride and enjoy the sun on your back and the breeze in your face.

Business Retreats

College Getaways
