The YMCA has been influencing healthy lifestyles around the world since 1844. Our wellness program focus on personal well-being and on enhancing the spirit, mind and body. The YMCA offers a variety of programs including aerobics/wellness classes, strength training, cardiovascular training, yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi. Aerobics/Wellness classes are FREE to members! Aerobics Class Schedules are updated monthly(on the 1st) and descriptions of these classes can be found by clicking the link.
If you have trouble getting motivated or knowing what to do when you get to the YMCA, our Fitness Orientation program might be just the thing you need to get you going. Not only does it give you an orientation to the equipment in the Wellness Center, but it can also get you started on a personal wellness program and all for FREE to members! Highly qualified fitness supervisors are on duty each day to help you in your pursuit of a healthier spirit, mind and body.
Need a little more motivation? Traditional YMCA personal training is a great way to take that extra step you might need to get fit. If you have reached a plateau or are looking for specific fitness training, or just want a one on one boost to get in shape, then work with a nationally certified personal trainer. Cycling Personal Training (Marion/Stoney Point only) Improve pedaling technique, efficient pedaling, energy conservation, climbing hills, descending hills, riding in traffic, riding faster, and touring are all important skills you can learn with a certified cycling instructor. Cost: Member - $45/session Nonmembers - $55/session
Yoga/Pilates Personal Training If you have always wanted to learn Yoga or Pilates or would like to take yourself to the next level then this is for you. Learn to relax, build endurance and sculpt a leaner body with the help of a certified Yoga/Pilates instructor. Cost: Member - $45/session Nonmembers - $55/session
We also have the Fitness Mileage Experience! Record the miles you bike, walk, run, swim or any combination of the four at the Front Desk at any branch. This can be in the branch or outside on your own! We aren’t picky, we just want to see you get healthy and keep healthy! And this year we've added aerobics classes to the mix.
