Youth Sports

At the YMCA, everybody plays and everybody is a winner! With the emphasis on participation, each child plays, regardless of size or ability. As a result, youth learn good sportsmanship, teamwork, build self-esteem, and have a great time! The YMCA offers a variety of Youth Sports, from Mighty Mites (for youths ages 4 - 5), to volleyball and soccer, track and basketball. The Y also offers Youth Weight Training.

YMCA Youth Sports is also a GREAT way to get involved with kids in your community.  We are always looking for good people to help make a difference in kid's lives.  Here's what a volunteer coach had to say about his experience coaching...

"Our first game went really good and I was so proud of the boys.  I was very reluctant to coach a team as I started knowing nothing about soccer let alone how to coach.  Now I am so incredibly happy that I made the decision to do this.  I am enjoying every minute of it.  I love each of those boys and it is incredible to see their energy levels and what great kids they are.  You can write me down as staying with this team as their coach in the future.  I truly believe every parent should volunteer to do something like this it is an awesome experience.  You and everybody else from the YMCA has been so helpful and supportive and I truly appreciate it."
